The 12th International Festival of Cinema in Catalonia (Fic-Cat) dedicates this edition at the direction of photography and homages Planb cinematographer Josep M. Civit for his wide, international and multi-awarded filmography.
The festival will take place from June 8th to 15th in Roda de Berà, and Josep will give a master class on Sunday at noon at the Casal de les Monges.

Gina, born in Barcelona, studied at the ESCAC, specializing in Cinematography. She draws inspiration from everywhere, her experience with international production has given her a versatility towards new challenges in countries with different cultures, lighting and working methods. As a DOP combines features commercials, TV fiction, and documentaries.
She has just finished filming a feature film called 'Isaac' produced by Mr. Miyagui Films and Zentropa Spain.
We are very happy to announce the Best Cinematography nomination for Álex de Pablo for his excellent work in the 'El Reino' movie, this film has also twelve more nominations, among them, Best Film and Best Direction.

The short film 'Cerdita' (DOP Rita Noriega) is nominated for Best Fiction Short Film.

Pablo was born in Barcelona but has developed most of his work in the US, he had the honour of photographing a number of Hollywood stars including Mickey Rourke, Kris Kristofferson, Bruce Dern, Denise Richards, Dolph Lundgren, and Jason Patric. In the present is a member of the AEC (the Spanish Society of Cinematographers).

We are very excited to announce that director of photography Pepe Gay de Liébana has joined Planb's roster.
For Pepe, his two main aims in any project are to help the director find the best possible way to visually put over his narrative concept and to always have the best possible attitude towards the project. He is currently working on narrative, commercials, and music videos.
We wish him the best of luck in the upcoming Edition of Sundance Film Festival with his short film ‘Adalamadrina’ that will take place from January 24th to February 3rd 2019.

Ivan Hugo studied Photography at the University of the Arts London, followed by set lighting at the Mountview Academy of theatre arts, where he was taught in scenography lightning. In 2008, inspired by the neon lights, handheld shots and documentary style of the films of Wong Kar-Wai, Christopher Doyle and several visits to Asia, he settled home for eight years in Tokyo “in search of light” now he's settled in London but works around the globe.

The short film 'La Última Virgen' has received the Best Fiction Short Film Award (Biznaga de Plata) in the 21st edition of Festival de Málaga (2018). Short film with cinematography by Planb DOP Lucas Casanovas, directed by Bàrbara Farré and produced by ESCAC Films.
The Short Film has also been awarded in the Medina del Campo Film Festival with the Best Sound and Best Costume Design Awards with a Jury Special Mention at her director, Bàrbara Farré.
Moreover in CreatRivas 2018, Bàrbara Farré received the Best Direction Jury Award.

The Get Noticed panel has always garnered considerable interest. For four years Camerimage Festival has been doing the best to assist young people with professional know-how so that they can navigate the world of cinema with greater awareness. Building one’s image in this line of business is an art well practiced by the specialized agents of the panel. This year, too, they are going to try and answer the question ‘How do I get noticed?’ During the fourth edition of the panel, the agents will elaborate on how to start your career path after graduating film school and how to stand out from other young and talented artists. The Question & Answer section will be integral to our meeting. It offers a unique opportunity to get tips from professionals on how to create your brand in the film industry.

Lucas has had the opportunity to work with a range of production companies, including Canada and Sofa Experience. He is currently with an audiovisual artists collective known as YVERZ, working on small projects, all bearing their highly personal stamp.
The director of photography, Josep Civit is in London shooting ‘Born a King‘, the new film by Agustí Villaronga.
"The feature film takes place in the 1920s, when there was a desire to unify Saudi Arabia: England supplied weapons to all of the tribes so that they would fight among themselves. It will cover the childhood of the future King Faisal, who went to England as a child to resolve the conflict. He is a boy of 14 or 15 who is suddenly opened up to the world: he went from the desert to the cosmopolitan city of London, where a tap with running water was already quite a discovery. And he had to grapple with English diplomacy, which was a real nest of vipers.” says Villaronga.
The shooting starts in London in June and will go on in Saudi Arabia in October. It's a co-production between Lolafilms, Celtic Films Entertainment and Saudi Arabia.

Director of photography Eloi Molí is in Sofia shooting 'All the Good Ones Get Away ', feature film directed by Víctor García and produced by Get Away Films, AIE., starring Claire Forlani, Dougray Scott and Jake Abel.
The feature film is a thriller about a weekend get-away for two lovers that turns into a nightmare of psychological mind games.

'The Corpse of Anna Fritz' and its impeccable craftsmanship allowed its disturbing plot to rise above juvenilia and become something not necessarily terrifying but certainly bleak and brutal.
Set almost exclusively in a morgue where the body of world famous actress Anna Fritz is currently resting, the film is cut from similar thematic cloth as Deep Web, asking three young men and the viewers how far they would be willing to go to save themselves.
