Born in Barcelona, 1975. Graduated from Barcelona Film School ESCAC. Since 1999 has been working as a cinematographer for both film and advertisement industry. He shot the international hits The Orphanage (2007) nominee for the European Film Award and The Impossible (2012), starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor awarded Best Cinematography (Gaudí Awards 2013). His latest works in cinema have been Mindscape (2013), The Imitation Game (2014) and A Monster’s Calls (2015) directed by J.A Bayona
He received a nomination of the ASC Awards for Best Cinematographer in the film The Imitation Game (2014) directed by Morten Tyldum and has won Best Cinematography at the Spanish Film Academy Goya Awards 2017 and a Gaudi at the Catalan Film Academy Awards 2017 for his excellent work at A Monster’s Calls.
