We’re thrilled to welcome cinematographer Daniela Cajías to #Planb family!
Daniela Cajías was born in Bolivia and grows between cameras, lenses and the laboratory for photo development of her father at home. She began her photography studies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she discovered the expressive and narrative possibilities of the image in the cinema. In Buenos Aires she decided to apply to the International Film and TV School (EICTV) of San Antonio de Los Baños in the specialization of Cinematography, she graduated in 2008.
Since then she has shot in Bolivia, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Spain, among her films, are Alcarrás (2022), Las Niñas (2020), As Duas Irenes (2017) and The Eternal Night of the Twelve Moons (2013).
In 2021 she became the first woman in the 35-year history of the Goya Awards to win the award for best cinematography for her work in

Agent Blanca Aysa, founder and managing director of Planb, had been chosen to be a judge at the UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA) this year, in the cinematographers and director’s categories.

Born in the city of Caracas, Venezuela; Cinematographer Gregorio Acuña developed an interest in contrast.
Good and bad, light and dark, one is null without the other. Stories must contain balance.
For Gregorio cinematography is about capturing that balance so that the story can move forward and allow the viewer to be fully immersed.
During his career, he has worked for clients such as Oscar de La Renta, Discovery Channel, Neon16, Interscope, and Sony Music to name a few.

Toni was born in Barcelona. He always tried to intertwine multiple worldviews and narratives in every project he participates in.
For him emotionality is imminent, tapping into sensitivity is the most prolific way for him to unravel pure and honest visual storytelling. Beyond his talent, Toni is appreciated for his craft and professionalism.
Toni has been in a perpetual exploration of the profession, regularly testing new configurations and never moving without a camera in his hands, which allows him to sharpen his image work in all circumstances.

‘Camila Comes Out Tonight’ tells the story of Camila, a teenager who is forced to move to Buenos Aires when her grandmother becomes seriously ill. ‘The Belly of the Sea’ is based on the events narrated in Alessandro Barrico’s novel ‘Oceano Mare’. After the sinking of a ship, 147 men try to survive, confined in a raft adrift in the middle of the sea. This shipwreck was immortalized by Théodore Géricault in the famous canvas ‘The Raft of the Medusa’, kept in the Louvre Museum.

Ivan Hugo studied Photography at the University of the Arts London, followed by set lighting at the Mountview Academy of theatre arts, where he was taught in scenography lightning. In 2008, inspired by the neon lights, handheld shots and documentary style of the films of Wong Kar-Wai, Christopher Doyle and several visits to Asia, he settled home for eight years in Tokyo “in search of light” now he’s settled in London but works around the globe.

The Get Noticed panel has always garnered considerable interest. For four years Camerimage Festival has been doing the best to assist young people with professional know-how so that they can navigate the world of cinema with greater awareness. Building one’s image in this line of business is an art well practiced by the specialized agents of the panel. This year, too, they are going to try and answer the question ‘How do I get noticed?’ During the fourth edition of the panel, the agents will elaborate on how to start your career path after graduating film school and how to stand out from other young and talented artists. The Question & Answer section will be integral to our meeting. It offers a unique opportunity to get tips from professionals on how to create your brand in the film industry.

We are very happy to welcome Director of Photography Lucas Casanovas to Planb as a new talent with a high personal stamp and a great future.
Lucas has had the opportunity to work with a range of production companies, including Canada and Sofa Experience. He is currently with an audiovisual artists collective known as YVERZ, working on small projects, all bearing their highly personal stamp.
The director of photography, Josep Civit is in London shooting ‘Born a King‘, the new film by Agustí Villaronga.
“The feature film takes place in the 1920s, when there was a desire to unify Saudi Arabia: England supplied weapons to all of the tribes so that they would fight among themselves. It will cover the childhood of the future King Faisal, who went to England as a child to resolve the conflict. He is a boy of 14 or 15 who is suddenly opened up to the world: he went from the desert to the cosmopolitan city of London, where a tap with running water was already quite a discovery. And he had to grapple with English diplomacy, which was a real nest of vipers.” says Villaronga.
The shooting starts in London in June and will go on in Saudi Arabia in October. It’s a co-production between Lolafilms, Celtic Films Entertainment and Saudi Arabia.

‘Amor Eterno’ (Everlasting Love) the new film of the director Marçal Forés has been released in USA within the 2015 Outfest Festival. The director of photography of the film Elías M. Félix has traveled to L.A to attend the premier.
The film is about a teenage passion. One night, a hot-daddy schoolteacher encounters one of his students in the cruising zone of a local park. The two embark on an illicit affair, but when the older man’s interest cools, it’s the student who gives the teacher a lesson he’ll never forget.

‘The Corpse of Anna Fritz’ and its impeccable craftsmanship allowed its disturbing plot to rise above juvenilia and become something not necessarily terrifying but certainly bleak and brutal.
Set almost exclusively in a morgue where the body of world famous actress Anna Fritz is currently resting, the film is cut from similar thematic cloth as Deep Web, asking three young men and the viewers how far they would be willing to go to save themselves.
The film, directed by Hector Hernández Vicens and director of photography Ricard Canyellas, will compete in the Midnighters section of independent SxSW Festival, held in Austin, Texas, between 13 and 21 March and also in Sitges 2015 between 9 and 18 October.

The director of photography, Josep Civit recently traveled to Dominican Republic to shoot the new film El Rey de la Habana (King of Havana) directed by the renowned Spanish director Agustí Villaronga. The feature film is an adaptation of the novel written by Pedro Juan Gutiérrez.
The film is about Reinaldo’s life, a teenager who escaped from a correctional and how he survives in to the streets of the Cuban capital during the hard years of the Cuban Special Period in the 90′s.
The shooting will be finish at the end of April.
